Meet Barry Haggarty
Barry’s passion for music was ignited by watching the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan show back in 1964 and he hasn’t look back since. Barry is well known for his skillful and expressive abilities on the guitar and has graced both stage and studio for a variety of well known performers. From the Family Brown, to Lucille Starr, an up and coming Shania Twain to Bentwood Rocker and even the legendary Ronnie Hawkins.
His abilities as a session player even took him to the gruelling and competitive Nashville scene and Barry’s maturing skillset as a songwriter, vocalist, engineer and producer lead him to open the eponymous Haggarty Sound Studio in 1991.

Internet technology has enabled projects recorded and mixed at Haggarty Sound Studio to reach clients and audiences around the world.
In the midst of all these sessions, Barry has also found time to lend his talents to great causes, such as the Peterborough Humane Society, the Gainey Foundation and the Canadian Fallen Hero Project.
He’s also recorded multiple albums, including one that culminated in fulfillment of a lifelong dream — recording at the iconic Abbey Road Studios (of Beatles fame), the resulting album “Barry Haggarty Unplugged at Abbey Road Studio - If These Walls Could Talk” was made even more special by the presence of his wife Susan and their musical sons Adam and Brett in the studio.
Barry was also a part of the latest album from Bentwood Rocker (2018) and finally, Barry has also released a new album in the latter half of 2021, the musically diverse “Consider Me Undecided” (for more of Barry’s original music, please visit the “Barry’s Music” section of this site).
